The YMCA is an integral part of the community throughout Rhode Island and surrounding areas. With over 16 branches nearby, there is something for everyone at the YMCA including health & wellness activities, fitness centers, afterschool programs, child care, camp, and much more. The YMCA provides financial assistance to community members who otherwise might not be able to participate in these activities and offers a host of free programs to those who qualify like cancer survivors and military families. To deliver this support, the YMCA relies on the generous contributions of donors who share the belief that everyone should have access to the health and wellness benefits offered at the Y. The RI State Alliance of YMCAs serves over 91,000 members and gives back nearly $2.5 million in support to the community. The YMCAs are connected through a reciprocal agreement allowing members to take advantage of programs and activities offered at any facility in the participating network.
