The Providence Bruins partner with the Rhode Island Food Bank throughout the season by collecting food at select Providence Bruins games, at Shaw’s Supermarket locations and with the Washington Trust PB Express.

  • In November leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Providence Bruins wives and girlfriends collect non-perishable food items before the game
  • Fans bring the food items to the games and make donations. This season’s collection dates are Friday, November 21 and Sunday, November 23
  • In December, Providence Bruins players visit local Shaw’s Supermarkets and participate in the “Spirit of Giving” Food Drive, where people by bags of food and donate them to the RI Food Bank
  • On the two dates the P-Bruins participate, people who buy bags of food will receive free P-Bruins tickets. The P-Bruins will be at the Shaw’s on Warwick Ave. on Tuesday, December 2 from 4-6 p.m. and at the Shaw’s in Middletown on Thursday, December 4 from 4-6 p.m.
  • During a weekend in March the Providence Bruins collect jars of peanut butter for the Washington Trust PB express and have Samboni at the Cranston location for their main collection day
