The Providence Bruins partner with Adoption Rhode Island and Wendy’s for a game during the P-Bruin season, a Tuesday’s Child episode on NBC10 and on fundraisers throughout the year.

  • Every season, the Providence Bruins and Wendy’s provide Adoption Rhode Island with tickets to a game and a banquet for families looking to adoption children to meet some of the children who currently reside in Rhode Island and are looking for homes

  • Each child looking to be adopted receives a Providence Bruins gift bag and a Providence Bruins player along with the mascot Samboni are also present to sign autographs and talk with the children and families

  • During one of the Providence Bruins practices at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center the players invite a child looking to be adopted and NBC10 to the rink to film an episode of Tuesday’s Child

  • Providence Bruins players skate with the child and NBC10 does a profile on the child, which they air on the news in hope that a family sees it and is interested in adopting the child

  • The Providence Bruins also provide Adoption Rhode Island with additional tickets and autographed items throughout the season for different fundraisers they hold including their annual golf tournament
